Where it stands.

NOTES REVIEWED · 26 OCTOBER 2026

A C++ driving and race recreation with original-derived physics, AI and track data, plus a playable Unreal rendering edition. All 47 track layouts are now complete in the Unreal edition as well as supported by the reference.

Rough editorial estimates from the project notes, typically ±10–15 points. They describe a usable edition, not code coverage or a release date. A dash means no defensible estimate. Recorded checks were reviewed, not rerun for this website.

One classic. A new point of view.

RECREATION ~75% ESTIMATED

Playable · full-game systems unfinished

Car, tyre, suspension, drivetrain and collision systems run with AI, menus and race presentation. Recorded checks include 1,521 physics assertions and captured-game trace comparisons.

In place

  • Driving simulation, AI, collisions/damage and race/menu/HUD support.
  • All 47 original layouts documented playable in the reference.
  • Scoped original trace and cross-engine trajectory comparisons.

Still to do

  • Upgrades and remaining career/race-flow details.
  • Live steering/controller acceptance and endurance/pitting checks.
  • Remaining camera, sound and rendering fidelity.
About this estimate

A substantial playable recreation with unfinished full-game systems; this is not a claim of a finished original career or online mode.

PLUS ~60% ESTIMATED

Expanded-grid work in development

Shared recreation work includes support for 40-car grids and control/usability improvements. A 50–60-car multi-class field remains a goal, not a completed feature.

In place

  • 40-car AI/contact and race-grid support.
  • Steering/deadzone and race-interface improvements.
  • Recorded larger-field and controller diagnostics.

Still to do

  • Larger-field performance and gameplay acceptance.
  • Define and finish the final enhanced-edition scope.
  • 50–60 cars, multi-class and rolling-start goals remain open.
About this estimate

A tentative estimate for the documented enhancement work, not a separately certified Plus release. Its final scope still needs consolidation.

PLUSPLUS ~75% ESTIMATED

Playable · all 47 layouts complete

Unreal 5.8 runs the shared simulation, AI, menus, HUD and audio, with Lumen, Nanite and modern antialiasing. All 47 track layouts are now complete.

In place

  • All 47 track layouts complete.
  • Playable racing with up to 39 AI opponents and shared game flow.
  • Modern lighting, track/car materials and F10 graphics controls.
  • Nürburgring import completed with automated map/texture/race checks.

Still to do

  • Full-lap/manual driving and larger-field performance checks.
  • Remaining upgrades, race flow and visual/controller parity.
About this estimate

Revised editorial estimate of approximately 75% following the owner’s confirmation on 28 October 2026 that all track layouts are complete. Track coverage is complete; full-game systems and gameplay validation still remain. No new game tests were run for this website update.
